Special Olympics 2018 USA Games in Seattle, Washington

The 2018 Special Olympics USA Games provided special athletes an opportunity to showcase their abilities.  The games took place from July 1-6 in Seattle, Washington.  4,000 athletes and coaches from across the country came together to compete in 14 sports. 

Team Colorado included 29 athletes, 8 coaches and 7 delegates who represented Colorado.  Team Colorado athletes competed in athletics, aquatics, unified soccer, bowling and tennis.

Southsiders athlete. Shawn Sesma, competed in bowling.  In April Shawn participated in a Team Colorado training camp at the United States Olympic Training center in Colorado Springs.
